GROWING OUR GRDNS

WATERING BEYOND THE PITCH

ENGAGE

Growing our GRDNS is our ethos, which enables us to increase the number of participants and engagement across the borough of Waltham Forest. We offer social prescribing to help decrease the number of IMDs and free up more GPs' time for patients whose problems are specifically medical, as more community members approach General practices for well-being attributes daily.

We have been playing in the Essex Alliance Football League (which is a feeder league to the Thurlow Nun FL) for the last six seasons. During this time, we have climbed from division two to the senior league (step 7), won a domestic cup, and constantly finished within the top four.

INSPIRE

We connect people to community
groups and statutory services for practical and
emotional support for all community members,
including Black, Asian and minority, those who
are or on the peripherals of becoming gang
members, single parents and the unemployed.

UNITE

'Growing Our GRDNS' is our approach to providing resources and information-sharing sessions for teachers and parents to work together to embed anti-racism in schools and the wider community.

We work and deliver in respect to tailoring for community representation, working tirelessly across the diversity spectrum, uniting communities and involving those from black, Asian and ethnically diverse backgrounds; we equally work hard at cross-borough reach and integration of all groups so that, as a community, we have a true reflection of various London localities.

As a whole, our community offering offers the youth and future generations an inspiring and engaging introduction to the world through a much-loved sport.

Within our organisation and networks, like Waltham Forest Council, 16+ Network and Sported UK, to which we are members, we regularly connect and partner to deliver socially prescribed programs and believe in a multi-network approach to ensure sustainable provisions for our community members.
